Optimisation - A whole new marketing industry called 'Search Engine
Optimisation' (SEO) has grown up over the last 10+ years or so based on getting your
web site on the first page of search engine results. Now some of the
services you will find are no doubt legit and value for money, but the
pool is also FULL of sharks, incompetents, and the deluded.
Over the years, I have seen some fantastic results in
the businesses that I have worked with just by getting some pretty basic
things right. The best thing with SEO is that once you have got it
right, and apart from a bit of maintenance, and dealing with the odd
search engine that decides to change algorithm, there are no ongoing costs
(free traffic). I
have some web sites that are still pulling traffic from search engine optimisation work that I did in 1999........Free customer leads for 10+
years, sounds ok doesn't it?
